History of the Hoffman Mansion

Does anyone have any historical information about the Hoffman Mansion located next to the Eisenhower Conference center? I heard it was used as a field hospital. Is this true? I find it quite odd that they use it for tourist to hunt for ghost.

The Hoffman Mansion (Hoffman Farm) once a 123-acre dairy farm was owned by the Hoffman family. The Farm is at East Cavalry Field, where cavalry action happened on July 3. The Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Center was built On the property behind where Hoffman's original barn and farmhouse stand along Emmitsburg Rd. the Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Center was built. It was also as a field hospital for federals during and following Pickett's charge.
One of the Hoffman daughters is said to have hung herself there because she was told of her beau's wanderings. Stories of paranormal activity are the focus in current day.
