Hi, I recently purchased a Remington 1858 New Model Navy Revolver that was produced in 1865. The barrel has the Navy Anchor on it and the initials of GG for the inspector are on the front of the cylinder. The serial number is 30814 and there is the number 116 that appears everywhere the serial number is. There is also the initials MB on the trigger guard. I am trying to find out as much as possible about this gun and find any records that available for it. If anyone can help me please let me know. You can get in touch with me at Edward.oberreither@gmail.com if you can help me.

Thank you in advance for any help provided.

Yes! Post MANY pictures of your revolver: Engravings, serial numbers, condition shots, etc. etc. etc. We have revolver experts here who will chime in to help you out!

In the meantime, welcome from central Missouri.
