Today I had a doctors appointment for my yearly physical. I arrived early and decided to see if there might be something nearby of interest. I discovered Herndon Baptist Church about 1/4 mile away. I had about 20 minutes so I drove by and took a quick walk through. Look what I found.
I am just starting my research on him, but this is all I have so far found on Find a Grave.
Bartholomew's first wife, Martha Ann Tyler, died sometime after Sept. 24, 1860 (she was enumerated on that date on the 1860 U.S. Census for Augusta Co., VA with Bartholomew and seven of their children) and before Dec. 14, 1865 (the date Bartholomew married Annie Virginia Hughes). Bartholomew and Martha Ann Tyler were the parents of nine children: Nancy Bragg (born about 1841), Mary Bragg (born about 1843), John Kidd Bragg, James Henry Bragg, Zachariah T. Bragg (born about 1859), Richard Bragg (born about 1852), Alexander H. Bragg (born about 1855), and (?)twins, Mary A. & John L. Bragg (born about 1869).
