Hello everyone! I recently acquired a Spencer Carbine. I believe it is an 1860 but am not certain. Appears to be in pretty good shape for the age it is. The barrel measures 22" but has 3 lands and 3 groves and it has the Stabler cutoff installed. Perhaps it was modified by Springfield after the war and the barrel was lined and the Stabler cutoff added? Ordered up some cerosafe to slug the chamber of it. The stock markings are still there but very faint. SN 17162. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
