Capt Lewis comdg the Rebel Gun boat Spray (thanks @Bil R ) who surrendered to the Navy and was paroled by me accompanies Gen. Jones. Will you be Kind Enough to furnish him transportation to his home in Virginia. He is entitled to the same Consideration that any other officer receives, and I hope may receive it at your hands.

I believe the first one is Lewis and agree that the last is me. The middle one may be Oleary???
Ahhhh. Possibly so. Was there a rebel gunboat named OLeary? It actually looks like "Dheay" but I cant imagine a boat named that.

Hello Gentlemen,

This was the gunboat CSS Spray. She was built in New Albany, IN in 1850 as a coastal job boat and there is an illustration of her from a distance in either Harpers or Leslies. She did survive the war and went back into commercial service surviving until the 1870s.
