Hi all,

His name was Samuel B(urch?) Walker and was born in Adair Co. Ky in 1 Sept 1844 and died 8 Mar 1878 in Comanche Co. TX. He was my 1st cousin. He enlisted around 1862 as a pvt. at 18 years old. His younger brother George W Walker was in the Texas state troops from 1/1865 to the end of the war. His father John Burch Walker was in the Texas State troops from 6/1863 for about 6 mos as first sgt. Co A, 2nd regt., 27th BDE, Texas State Troops.
I cannot find Samuel in any unit of Marmaduke's Texas units. The family was written of in a early TX History book (1899). My information comes from that book.

Any help would be appreciated as I am in FL and am stuck.

Darrell
