We met these fellows last Friday, July 16th at Harpers Ferry. They weren’t with Liberty Rifles but were trying to live up to their standards.

The one of the right is from NH and the one on the left is from Shepherds Town. They were following A.P. Hills route into Antietam. The temperature was 95 to 98 with high humidity and they were leaving on their march around 6 pm.

@StoneintheWall and I met them and @Stone in the wall showed an IMPRESSIVE amount of gun knowledge! He’s been keeping his light under a bushel here on CWT.

Only one of them made it through, to show up during a guided battlefield tour on… A.P. Hills march!

Scott, on the left, is in his 50s and an educator. Tyler, on the right, is in his 20s and is in the US Marine Corp.

The heat and humidity was too much for Scott and he met up with him later in Antietam. Tyler has been literally walking the battlefields on his own since he was 12 and his parents would drop him off at one end of Gettysburg and pick him up at the other.

He popped up during this guide’s tour and the guide said he ”lost control” of his group for about 7 minutes as the little folk all gathered around the hero!

Tyler’s face sure looks redder than it did at Harpers Ferry. We had TERRIFIC thunderstorms during the whole evening and over an inch of rain so he got to experience that part of the elephant.
