I want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year. Thanks for all the support for the food forum. I appreciate all of you who post. Even though we had problems, believe all is alright now.

Hope you have a special New Years Eve and a grand dinner for New Years Day.

Best of luck in the New Year.

Try this simple dessert. It is an old favorite in my family.

Snow Pudding With Custard

Mix two tablespoons arrowroot with three tablespoons of cold milk. Boil one cup of milk and pour it onto mixed arrowroot, poor back into pan and boil gently for eight minutes, stirring all the time, then allow to cool. Stir in yolks of two eggs, two tablespoons of butter, one fourth teaspoon of salt, three tablespoons of sugar, pour into greased pudding dish; beat whites of eggs to a stiff froth and mix lightly in. Dust nutmeg over top and bake in moderate oven 10 minutes. Serve quickly with custard.
