We always enjoy fish. This recipe for Halibut Steak is from "Old Time Recipes To Enjoy", "The Kentucky Explorer", Sept. 2018.
Wash and wipe the steaks dry, have ready some rolled cracker or breadcrumbs, then beat up two or three eggs. Dip each steak into beaten egg, then he breadcrumbs after salting the fish. Fry in hot fat, lard or drippings. Or if you prefer, the steaks can be broiled over a gridiron or a fire, seasoning with salt and pepper.
