Hair dye bottle found in Civil War Photography Studio sites.

A recent archaeological study at a Camp Nelson in Kentucky has found the remains of hair dye bottles at the site of a sutler's store operated by a man named William Berkele. The premise of an article is that the store also contained a photographer's studio and that the dyes were used by the men prior to having their pictures taken. Links to the news articles follow:
