Grumble

Although General Jones was highly regarded by both Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. Jackson, he was scorned by Jeb Stuart. In September 1863 Jones insulted Stuart and was court-martialed, convicted, and reassigned to the Department of Western Virginia. Again he performed admirably, but in june 1864 he was killed on the field.
