Greetings... first post.. Any clue about this soldier? US? CSA? Sword? buckle?

A different man--but it looks like the same uniform, etc:

It is entitled "Confederate Soldier Wearing a Top Hat with his Uniform" and was apparently on eBay.
Private Luther Hart Clapp of Company C, 37th Virginia Infantry Regiment, in uniform and two-piece Virginia state seal buckle with Boyle and Gamble sword. (Library of Congress)

This image appears to be a copy of another photo. This is evident from looking at the top right hand corner and lower corners where the edges of the copied photo do not line up with your print. The original image is heavily retouched and the photographer has gilded the buttons and belt plate which make them impossible to identify. There is another photograph in the Library of Congress which shows a soldier from the 37th Virginia Infantry wearing an identical uniform, so this may provide a clue to the regiment. My guess is that your print is a copy (of a copy?) of an original Ambrotype which has either been lost or is still existing in someone else's collection.
