Greetings! 11th Iowa Volunteer Infantry Regiment - Photos, suggestions, please!

Great pictures EVERYONE !!!!! Good to see something from Iowa ! I have few things from Iowa but nothing on the 11th. Question ????????????????????? Were there any IOWA regiments , Cavalry or artillery that fought in the east ?????

I have a 3rd great uncle who was in the 11th Iowa, Pvt. John Kester. He was killed the first day at Shiloh.

I looks like the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 25th, 26th 31st and 39th Iowa Infantry were around Richmond, Virginia, in 1865. They appear to have come north after the siege of Savannah.

The 22nd, 24th and 28th went to Virginia mid-1864 for Sheridan's Shenandoah Valley Campaign. But the 24th and 28th went back to Georgia by 1865. The 22nd appears to have stayed in Virginia.

The 34th was guarding prisoners taken to City Point, Virginia, in the spring of 1863, but immediately returned to Missouri.
