Yet even now, as the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War piques interest in so much that was blue and gray, there is limited recognition of Nathan Bedford Forrest, the way that Jeffrey Smith sees it.
The psychiatrist and author from Greer hopes to change that with “The Wizard of the Saddle.”
