Virtual tours in 3D are now available for five historic buildings at Gettysburg National Military Park and the Eisenhower National Historic Site: the David Wills House, the Lydia Leister House, Abraham Brian House, the Eisenhower Home and Eisenhower Show Barn. You can see them here, on the NPS website. I've just been wandering virtually through the Wills House, where there is a lot to see in what is designed as an 11-minute tour. Besides enabling viewers to rotate each space for a 360-degree view, the video also lets visitors see see rooms in relation to one another with an optional "dollhouse" view. An additional view provides floor plans. Clicking the ^ symbol to the left of the "play" button displays the "Highlights," a set of thumbnail images that let viewers choose to "visit" specific rooms if they wish. A mapping function is available to take measurements of any points of interest (for instance, the width of a hallway). Most rooms feature interpretive material that visitors can access by clicking on a white circle to display notes in a callout. (For example, there's one in the center of this room, where the main exhibit is a diorama of the town.) An optional VR experience is compatible with Oculus. A separate page provides a narrated introduction to the site. It's an impressive presentation, and now it has me interested in trying VR!
