Is there a full length biography? I have not found one from internet searches and I am throwing this out for a possible quick answer before sifting through bibliographies. He seems to be an underrated General. He was heavily involved throughout the war in the Western Theater and had an interesting and rich post-war life.

For some quick and easy self help guidance for all:

Don't be afraid to use the powerful tools at the top of the Biography Forum!
No need to "sift" through all the Biographies when you are searching for one... you could just click on the "J" for all the Bios that begin with the last name "J" (William Hicks Jackson was on the 4th Row of the 1st Page of Bios!)
You can also just type "Jackson" in the Quick Search Box for Biographies. He's the 7th "Jackson" in the search!

Thank you, Mike. This feature and content is indeed helpful. I am curious whether there is a book length biography of this prominent Tennessean.
