Hotel tap bell. This bell is reported to be the same style bell as the bell used at the Galt House in Louisville, Kentucky, during the Civil War. The GaltHouse was a meeting place for Federal generals during the Civil War. Brig. Gen. Jefferson C. Davis shot Federal Gen. William "Bull" Nelson at the GaltHouse on September 29, 1862. It is also believed that Gen. U. S. Grant and Gen. Sherman met at the Galt House to plan "Sherman's March to the Sea."
