These are the brief books on battles, etc. that you can buy in paperback at battlefield museums and on-line. Because they're so short, they are overviews of the subject without a lot of detail. Some include photos and maps.

Check out iTunesU. There are free lectures on the CW. One in particular is by the NY Historical Society called Lincoln and the Civil War. I'm still exploring the content. It looks like there is tons of stuff. These all go on my iPhone and replace the radio broadcasts for the gym and in the car.

What do you need to down load the buggers? Nook, Kindle? Or can you just download to your comp on a zipper?
