Just got back from Franklin last week - wow! We packed Lotz, Carter & Carnton into a day and all it did was whet my appetite for more. (Shout out to any of the Franklin docents who may be on this board - the tours were incredible, and it's awesome to see people so passionate about history!) Got a return trip planned for the fall - but when?
My brother lives in Spring Hill, so I'm not worried about finding accommodations, but is the November battle anniversary going to be so crowded I won't enjoy it? I'd like to go back and walk Winstead Hill, the Cotton Gin area, and Rest Haven, for example. If not late November, when is the next best time to visit Franklin for someone coming from a place (AZ) that doesn't actually have seasons? I sure do miss autumn leaves!
