Fort Morgan, Mobile Point, Alabama

Thank you! It was fun to do.
Interesting facts. I still can't get over the lead pipes and linings of the cistern. I was curious if you ever followed up on that to know how many soldiers were harmed and the extent, as well as when the discovery was made. I seem to remember the lead based paints were just coming to light when I was a child, at least stories were being passed around about the harm. Small children had a tendency to chew on a crib, and if paint peeled, it was tasted.
Lubliner.

No, I never did follow up on that. I did find out, though, that at one point the cisterns at Fort Morgan were plastered. Was that because they knew the lead was a problem? I really don't know.
I remember all the publicity about lead toxicity when I was a kid, also. It seems that information was relatively recent!
That would be a very interesting research topic!
