Nicely done . Who is the manufacturer ?
It's mostly scratchbuilt, but the figures are from Masterbox and the cannon is from Flagship ModelsNicely done . Who is the manufacturer ?
I mostly paint larger scale figures such as 75mm (1/24th scale) but those are very well done . I might have to try some for an upcoming project. Nice work. It's mostly scratchbuilt, but the figures are from Masterbox and the cannon is from Flagship Models
Yeah I converted some masterbox figures, only real difference was just painting their sleeves, hats and collars in red. I also used some spare arms from some Tamiya infantry which better suited what I envisioned.Did you use the Masterbox Civil War figure or convert other figures? Either way you must have did some conversion on the figures.
Thank you, and I'd highly recommend the masterbox offerings for ACw figures. They were a pleasure to work with.I mostly paint larger scale figures such as 75mm (1/24th scale) but those are very well done . I might have to try some for an upcoming project. Nice work.
I applied a layer of watered down PVA glue and liberally applied real sand. Removed the excess, sealed the sand in with more watered down glue and then finally painted the sand with an off white yellowish color.Nice work! I love the detail. What did you use for the ground? I was trying to figure out what it is?
Very nice job, but the scale of the figures is too large for the (presumably) 42 pounder gun they're manning. I've actually loaded one during a firing demonstration at Ft. Jackson in Savannah and it's a reach to get the powder bag into the muzzle! Note my shadow in the bottom photo of this very gun - I was standing erect and my head was well below the level of the cascabel. It's mostly scratchbuilt, but the figures are from Masterbox and the cannon is from Flagship Models
All of you that perfect such are true artists !

The gun is a 32 pounder, I'm decently sure that the carriages would vary in size depending on the pattern. I've visited a replica 32 pounder at Fort Anderson, across the river from Fort Fisher, and from my impression the figures scale adequately.
Thanks! The base is roughly 6 inches by 6 inches, and I'll definitely try squeezing it in on my shelf somewhere.Good job.
So what size does the base end up being?
Hope you have room to display it.
