I didn't realize the Confederates had heavy seacoast guns at Fort Donelson. Where did they come from and how the did they get them there?

This is not something I have researched but I would imagine they came from one of two places. Either from fortifications elsewhere (probably Louisiana) or more likely, captured Federal arsenals.

I would think the easiest way to move them to the fort would have been by river but I'm sure someone here knows the correct answers to your questions.
