“ABRAHAM LINCOLN DIED THIS MORNING at 22 minutes after seven,” reads the telegram from April 15, 1865, that announced the U.S. president’s death to the outside world. After being held by the family of a Union general for generations, the original text of the telegram is now being offered for sale by the historic memorabilia specialists at the Raab Collection.
Lincoln lived out his final moments in a crowded boardinghouse room across the street from Ford’s Theater, where he had been shot in the head the night before. Accompanying him was Dr. Charles Leale, continued: https://www.atlasobscura.com/articl...ZHQVUPQWxKkBCCLVgBFcrBSBVy6KWrvtq4qV9f26EtpyA

I am of the sincere belief that historical items and places hold 'power' of some kind.

I once was on assignment during REFORGER 1991 in Germany, shortly before my retirement from the Army that year. After our unit (1oth Mountain Division) was done in the field training exercises, our company was given time off to view the local sites. As we were near Nuremberg, a few of us decided to go to where Hitler had held those tremendous rallies before and during WWII.

When we got there, a lot of my fellow soldiers wanted to have their pictures taken at the top of the area where Hitler once stood. I could not bring myself to do such. I felt such a powerful feeling of evil projecting from the place which seemed to get stronger the closer I got to that one spot where Hitler addressed his fawning crowds.

Don't know why I felt such or why my skin crawled, but it was enough for me to stay away from that spot. I've never regretted my choice.

I believe certain things can hold "energy" and are obvious to us if we are tuned in at the time. The earth is loaded with hidden energy, including crystals, botanicals, lightning etc.

It's possible. Though I would have challenged you to do it. Perhaps enough good energy could eliminate the bad and cleanse the scene.

I was challenged to do it.

I held too high a rank and was considered too stubborn to force to do it.

But really, in my view, there are some things that don't need to be challenged or to tempt fate over.

To me, the evil that seemed to cover the place was just too much for me to take that step. I am none the worse for that choice, in my own view.
