I really enjoy chocolate covered nuts. The original chocolate covered nut was the "Goober". They were first sold in 1925. They took their name from goober which was the slang term for peanuts.
The peanut M & M was introduced in 1954. They were tan until 1960, when the colors, yellow, green and red were introduced. The phase "M & M's, the chocolates that melt in your mouth not in your hand", was first used in 1954.
