Alright
@Eleanor Rose - you,
@Cavalry Charger,
@KansasFreestater,
@LoriAnn, and
@Nathanb1 awoke the bad '70s music beast inside of me! It met and fell in love with the Favorite Hair Contest and the following is its illicit love child. Look what you've done!!!!
Sing this to the tune of "Escape", better known as "The Pina Colada Song"
I was tired of my hairstyle
We’d been together too long
Like a worn out fife-and-drum corps
On an old marching song
So I went into my wall tent
And laid down on my camp bed
And as my tentmate lay there snoring
There was a letter that said:
“If you like curls that get frizzy
When you’re caught in the rain
Or some hair that’ll stand up
Like a field of grain
If you like haircuts at midnight
And the sweet barber’s cape
Come to me in the Sibley
And your hair I will shape”
I didn’t think about my hairstyle
I know that sounds pretty cruel
But sportin’ this old hairstyle
Was makin’ me look like just some farby fool
So I wrote to the stranger
And left a note by the tent
While it’s no kind of poem
This was the letter I sent:
“Yes, I like curls that get frizzy
When I march in the rain
And some hair that goes crazy
On a six week campaign
I’ve got to see you by tomorrow noon
Have a fresh barber’s cape
Can we meet in the Sibley
So my hair you can shape?”
So I waited with high hopes
And he walked in the place
I sat down on a barrel
With a smile on my face
Ten minutes later I was stylin’
With the new haircut I had
And though he wasn’t a barber
It didn’t turn out half bad.
They weren’t curls that got frizzy
Standing guard in the rain
It was nothing too fancy
It was really quite plain
He didn’t cut my hair at midnight
Or even have a barber’s cape
But when I left from the Sibley
My hair had funky shape.
