Eyyy, Looks like me and you are 2nd South Carolina string band Boys.
The Mary...Lamb rendition was a hoot!Union Dixie
Can't go wrong with perhaps one of the greatest trolling songs of the Civil War!
Dixie (Confederate War Version)
This one is perhaps my favorite version of Dixie.
Mary Had a Little Lamb (Battle Cry of Freedom)
Just an overly fun song, taking a children's song and taking a dark turn
Bonnie Blue Flag
About as Confederate spirit as you can get
Garyowen
A great drinking song.
yes listen often some better than othersAny one check out the "WarBetweentheStatesRadio.com" link below?
Lot good stuff out their .. just look for emI like 80's stuff, 80s rock, Metallica, you name it, but nothing beats the 2nd South Carolina!
I was interested to note that as the band performed the first left hand turn I recognised the music. Modern German bands nearly always start their march with a modern version of that piece, so it predates the war and was brought to America immigrants or musicians from the area we know as modern Germany.
Oops. didn't mean to end there. I gravitate toward songs that (1) talk about real events, and (2) have a high smart-*ss quotient. So. . . .
