Sumner Jr. is knee-to-knee with his father, incase anyone is curious. This one was started like 2 months ago purely for the surroundings, just now I finished the men - enjoy.

Good old Sumner. One tough cookie. I know bullets bounced of his forehead. Still the Union 2cd Corps wouldn't be what it was without him.

Second from the right is Lieut. Alonzo Cushing who will be mortally wounded at Gettysburg. He's the brother of the naval officer responsible for sinking the C.S.S. Albemarle.

Definiely one of my favorites of your Civil War images. How many hours did it take to complete?

Thanks man - all in all I think 3-4 hours, I can't remember exactly, it was done in 3 sessions.

3-4 hours! Your slowing down .

I am back home and had a better chance to look at it. One suggestion I might make, I think the drain spout should be a different color than the rest of the building just to make it stand out. Really a matter of personal preference and does nothing for the rest of this terrific image.
