CSN Identification Help Please

This albumin print, delaminated from a CDV, and now tipped to an album page, was incorrectly identified by a ca. 1900 collector as being Franklin Buchanan. Can anybody identify for me? It was inserted in an extra-illustrated set of "Battles & Leaders" between pages where ironclads were being discussed.

My best guess, but with extremely low confidence level, is James D. Johnston.

That should be Regis de Trobriand, a Brigadier General in the Union Army.
