Greetings Friends,

Might anyone in the community have access to CS officer/prisoner letters or diaries written while at Fort Warren in Boston Harbor or reminiscences about their time there?

I am particularly interested in writings of, or comments by others about General Gordon, and General Thomas Benton Smith, both of the Army of Tennessee. Any Union sources would also be of interest.

General Gordon was captured in front of the Carter House at Franklin (Nov 30, 1864), General Smith on Shy's Hill at Nashville (Dec. 16, 64).

All communications received with appreciation.

Thank you.
