This cookie recipe is from "The Kentucky Explorer Magazine", February 2013, 'Old-Time Recipes To Enjoy'. This a section they have every month with recipes 100 to 150 years old from Kentucky families.
Pioneer Cookies
One cup butter, one cup packed brown sugar, one-fourth cup milk, one teaspoon vanilla extract, two cups flour, one-half teaspoon baking soda, one cup rolled oats, and one cup raisins.
This is another old Kentucky recipe. It is called Pioneer Cookies but is old fashion oatmeal raisin cookies. A real treat any time.
