The Food Forum at CivilWarTalk is pleased to announce the cook awards for May 1 thru 15. There were so many wonderful and informative recipes and posts. Thanks so much to all for your contributions. I believe these posts make this forum so interesting for the forum.

The winners are:

James B. White for his 15 authentic recipes and information on the recipes. These recipes include, "To Dress Lettuce as Salad", "Beef A-La Mode", "Jumbles", and "Carrot Fritters".

@Legion Para for "Corn Bread" and "Hot Water Soup".

@Albert Sailhorst for "Scott's Battery June Newsletter "Corporal's Kitchen" Recipe". This month was Pork & Beans.

@nitrofd for "Florida Pickling Recipes 1852-1869".

@Stiles/Akin for "Pies and Puddings."

Congratulations to all and thanks again for adding so much to the forum.

Many congratulations! Sorry to be so late catching up with your awards in the Food Forum, am on the job now, Donna!

Really lucked out, looking for your ' Spring ' theme in cooking.

This session's Food Forum's Cook Cyber Award is an antique sterling Tiffany tea caddy spoon. It would have been kept there, a scoop, for loose tea.

Talk about ' era '. too! There were a LOT this time! Thank you for this, we see a lot of preserving and pickling going on, especially in areas where food spoiled easily. Florida is as dangerous as it got, glad to see this! Congrats again, from Donna's Food Forum Judging Panel ( which is Donna :angel: , who better? ).
