The Food Forum at CivilWarTalk is pleased to announce the Cook Awards for Authentic, Period, Recreated and History for Jan. 1 thru 15, 2019. We had so many wonderful recipes and threads. It was really hard to pick winners.

The winners are:

@Eleanor Rose for "Potlikker".

@Albert Sailhorst for " Jan. 11 - National Hot Toddy Day - Apple Toddy".

@grace for "Sauce-Toubnee".

@Anna Elizabeth Henry for "Martha Washington's Candied Apricots".

@Belle Montgomery for "Sherman's Troops are why Southerners eat black eyed peas on New Years Day".

@John Hartwell for "Was Fannie Farmer a good cook?"

@Legion Para for "Bone Broth".

Congratulations to them and many thanks for their threads.

Ami do you want this in main part of Food Forum, as I have been posting in Cookbook part since that where I put my messages except for modern foods? Let me know.

Again thanks to all the winners. They have added so much.
