First off, I DO NOT - I REPEAT DO NOT WANT TO TURN THIS INTO A WHY THEY FOUGHT ARGUMENT.

I noticed in the song, Battle Cry of Freedom, a Union song, the lyric "no man shall be a slave". I think I noticed another Union song with a lyric like that elsewhere. Did Confederate songs ever mention slavery, or Negros in any way?
