Confederate General Robert E. Lee’s Headquarters (Mary Thompson House), is a one-and-a-half story stone house, situated on a 4.01-acre tract on the crest of Seminary Ridge, west of the town of Gettysburg on the north side of the Chambersburg Pike. During the American Civil War, the property was co-owned by Thaddeus Stevens, an influential and powerful Pennsylvania Congressman, and a 69-year-old widow named Mary Thompson. The still-extant James Henry Thompson House, owned by Mary’s son, is located on the south side of the road. (Text by Civil War Trust)

Very nice pictures. Those must be from Friday or Sunday. :D

The placement of this particular sign is inane. Right next to the side walk at at eye level, blocking the whole right side of the road, making right turns a dangerous feat...

I concur.....

The corner of US 30 and Seminary Ridge is definitely a hazard. Helps to have a passenger to assist with the driving!

I love the restored trellis, or pergola or whatever the heck it is. Nice touch. Great photos, Bill.
