Probably yes because you can tell the wood is aging and the barrel is authentic. but due to it not looking like its hardly ever if ever shot it was probably either used late in the war , for a prison guard or a soldier serving in fortifications .

I've seen a few pictures of these, but not for a very long time. It's a real nice piece.
