Gentlemanrob you do a lot of good work. Could you do a bio on Colonel Ben E. Caudill..of the 10th KY Mounted Rifles, later the 13th KY Cavalry CSA. I tend to favor the blue boys in Appalachia but my wife's family was in his unit. Also he was an ordained minister of my religious denomination and his grandson ordained me. Thanks.
Thanks, TenFed.

If you can get me a grave picture or a picture of the Colonel I will do it I don't like to post them without some kind of picture.

Two of my ancestors served in Company E, 14th Virginia Cavalry.

Not sure of Cochran's rank when the 14th Virginia Cavalry Regiment was engaged at Gettysburg, he was either Lt.Col. or Colonel about this time. It appears he took over command (and was a col.)when Col.Jensen was wounded by a cannon shell on the 2nd. From doing a little research on this unit it looks like there was a "oversight" and they somehow brought or were issued only 10 rounds of ammunition for their Enfield Rifles on the 3rd.That was not the day to run low on ammo.
