This week Throwback Thursday features a pair of photos I recently relocated that were taken on a visit to Mansfield Battle Park, Louisiana, in the spring of 1969: Above, taken by my wife Marilynn, I'm standing beside a large mortuary monument dedicated to Louisiana Brig. Gen. Alfred Jean-Jacques Mouton who was killed leading his division near here in a charge on the Federal center; below, fence marking the original Union position at the start of the April 8, 1864 battle.
