Since today is the anniversary of the 1862 Battle of Corinth, Mississippi, I thought it appropriate for Throwback Thursday to revisit a reenactment of the battle held on the same dates in 1987 which was the 125th anniversary! It was held on land that had been part of the first day's fight in the two-day battle, but was slated for residential development. Above, I commanded our small single-company Federal infantry contingent, alongside our surgeon, Michael Hubbard; both of us are standing inside our event's Battery Robinette, which was armed with our section of ten-pounder Parrott rifled cannon. Below, how I appeared for the battle, patched trousers and all! For more about this reenactment: https://civilwartalk.com/threads/tw...-and-corinth-oct-3-4-1987.127850/post-1402835
