Having just returned from my annual Autumn visit to Northwestern Arkansas - the reason that last week there was NO Throwback Thursday - I thought it was appropriate to revisit an October 6&7, 1980 living history event held at Prairie Grove State Park near Fayetteville. Above, I'm seated outside one of our wall tents in the battery camp shown in the photo below, writing a period-style letter to a pen pal. (Which I actually later mailed to her!)
