A bit blurry from enlargement, I know; however, today's Throwback Thursday features a *new* (to me) photo of Union General Ulysses S. Grant and his staff during the Vicksburg Campaign! (That's Marty Brazil @Marty US Grant of Biiloxi, Mississippi, Ed Owens at his left, with Yours Truly bringing up the rear.) Taken at a reenactment, likely of Champion's Hill in the 1980's, I thought it would be a fitting subject with now little more than a week before our much-anticipated annual Gathering of CWT members, this year in Vicksburg. This also serves notice that next week there likely will be NO Throwback Thursday since on that day I hope to be on tour in Port Gibson and Grand Gulf, Mississippi!

Anyone else having (preferably) old Civil War-related photos, mementoes, or memorabilia from reenactments, living history events, vacations, or other travel is welcome and encouraged to share them with us in this weekly thread!
