Oh the memories !

I can't remember how many of those little generic "green army men" we blew up with firecrackers.

We also destroyed quite a few decent model planes.
Setting an Airfix Lancaster bomber on fire was very memorable.

:bounce:

We almost set a dog house on fire.

No pets were hurt, but the dogs stayed away from us when the saw the army toys being brought out to the patio.
True childhood story.

Yep - and maybe a few mailboxes too. Back then you could still buy real fireworks in all the southern states. Kids these days don't really know how to have fun; the internet just ain't the same as M80s, cherry bombs, and silver salutes. I wish I'd saved some of those !

I was thinking the exact same thing.

M80s and cherry bombs . . . so many more memories are flooding back !

Mailboxes are a separate conversation !
