Civil War movie marathon Saturday

ST. JOSEPH - Lest We Forget's class on the Civil War at Lake Michigan College will sponsor a "Civil War Movie Marathon" from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library.

Lest We Forget, in partnership with the library, will offer the opportunity to view the classic Civil War movies at no cost to the public.
On Tuesday, the class will preview the movies and then vote on their top three favorites. This class is not open to the public. The three movies selected then will be presented for public viewing Saturday. The films that will be previewed are:


Attendees are encouraged to take a sack lunch to the movie marathon. The list of films and showing times will be available starting at noon Wednesday by calling 269-983-7167.

Well at least Wayne wore a red bandana in Horse Soldiers and not that silly yellow one. Where in the heck did that start anyway? I don't believe I've ever seen a photo of a CW cavalryman wearing a yellow bandana.
