Original Infantry frock coat. Sent to Denmark in 1858 as part of an exchange of military equipment. And yes, it was tradition... Started in 1851 I believe.

For some time before the Civil War Infantry wore Saxony blue trim, then wore sky blue trim, going to white after the Civil War, and then back to sky blue. Last edited: Nov 5, 2019
