One-Day Chickamauga Battlefield Tour with Norman Dasinger, Jr.

Norman Dasinger, Jr. has led tours of Civil War sites and battlefields for tons of organizations - including Blue & Gray Education Society and our own CivilWarTalk gathering last year at Chickamauga. Norman has the innate ability to connect tour participants to people, places, and events. Through the use of first-person accounts, images, and maps, he acquaints participants with Union and Confederate personalities, as well as civilians living in the area at the time. His knowledge of army organization, order of battle, and terrain allow him to readily locate the positions of individual regiments on the field and to provide easily understandable interpretation of how and why events unfolded as they did. Norman enjoys showing people the history of the Civil War and his unique ability to interact with his audience results in a powerful, personal, and insightful interpretative experience. Plan to join us at Chickamauga on November 9 for a great day on the battlefield.

This tour is provided by Norman as a fund raiser for a local organization and is open to the public. At only $30, its a GREAT value! The fee includes bus transportation from Gadsden, AL, if desired.

To register, please contact Frank Leatherwood [email protected] or [email protected] or pop me a private message here at CivilWarTalk and Ill be happy to connect you.

What a great day for a battlefield tour. Tomorrow is my birthday. Wish I could be there. We picked some of the places we wanted to go when he guided us. It would be cool to do a one day tour with him to places of his choosing only.
