Chattanooga, Chickamauga, Shiloh, and some other random bits

My wife and I did a road trip last April through the places mentioned and had a great time. The graves are members of the Illinois 15th as well as Hurlbut’s grave in Belvedere, IL. Lucious Barber served the entirety of the war and spent time at Andersonville, Harley Wayne was Captain of Company D from and was killed on the first day of Shiloh. I live in northern Illinois and try to find as many veteran graves as I can, and lucky for me my wife enjoys coming along for all this stuff too now. We did Richmond three years ago and are planning another trip for next year with Vicksburg or another trip back to Richmond being the most likely. Sorry for this long boring post, but this is the only place where anyone cares about this stuff!

Couple more random ones from recent times. Library of Elihu Washburne’s home where Grant found out he had been elected president, Washburne’s home, Grant home, Lincoln home, and Lincoln tomb. I was in Springfield last weekend and am going again this weekend which might be over the top but whatever. :D I hope posting all these is not breaking the rules of the photo forum.

This past year our annual CivilWarTalk Battlefield Tour was at Ringgold and Chickamauga in October. A number of us made visits to sites in Chattanooga too. This year's tour is at Vicksburg. Join us if you can.

Great photos, and certainly nothing wrong with posting them! However, I'll make the same comment as I did to another photo thread recently: Although I've been to nearly all these places pretty recently myself and don't really need it, for other members who might not be able to say the same, some CAPTIONS would be nice.

My mistake. I just did them in lazy fashion at the top of the posts, but I will remember to be clearer next time.
