Get your Civil War-era battle gear together...you’re needed for the movies.

“Emperor,” a Civil War-era drama starring “Hunger Games” actor Dayo Okeniyi, is looking for Caucasian male extras to take part in a multiple day shoot of a battle scene. The casting call asks for men in the 20s and 30s with the working dates running from July 10 through July 20.

Seeking Caucasian Men in their 20s and 30s (must be over 18) with jacket sizes 36, 38, 40, 42, and 44. Longer/Shaggy hair is best for the Civil War period, facial hair is great but not required. Pay is $68/8hrs and $20 for pre-fitting, Non-Union, Local hire - no housing or travel provided. Battle scene is filming ALL DAY (12+ hours) over several days listed below. Ideally seeking people who can be available for all filming dates. We will also consider people who can be available for only some filming days, or for one day only. Filming is in Savannah, GA and surrounding areas.


To apply for an extra position, email started shooting in the Savannah area, recently added Oscar nominees James Cromwell and Bruce Dern to the cast, according to a report from Deadline. According to the casting release, the movie “is inspired by the true story of Shields Green, a slave who makes a daring escape to freedom, meets Frederick Douglass, and decides to fight alongside John Brown at Harpers Ferry.”
