Don Boehm, as Lincoln, will help tell the story of the Civil War in 'Lincoln Degree,' a three-scene play, coming to the Andrew Free Carnegie Library and Music Hall, on Jan. 10. During that war, Masons from the North and the South fought each other, although among their core values were pledges of fraternal love, brotherhood and love of country.

“Lincoln Degree,” a three-scene play in Carnegie, blends fact and imagination for a new take on history.

The Jan. 10 performance at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall will showcase moments from the Civil War. Don Boehm and other members of the Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh, a Masonic group, will bring Abraham Lincoln, a wounded Confederate soldier and his young brother to the stage.

This is another in the Carnegie's Second Saturday Civil War Series to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the war's end and Lincoln's assassination.
