What is this? Can anyone identify this part?

Can anyone identify this? It was found in an area where I also found, a chest lock, bullets, general service buttons, a spoon, camp lead, horseshoes, and horse bridle buckles. I was thinking it is a hinge from a wagon or a part from a limber chest/caisson? Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome From THE Heart Of Dixie. It does look like a hinge. What are the dimensions?

It could be from a cook box or an artillery limber and anything in between. The things you found around it might give you evidence for a good guess. How close was it to the chest lock?
