OK, I just watched this and found it to be very enlightening in respect of how monuments came to be and the purpose they served at the time they were instituted. I think the speaker made his position on monuments clear at the end of his presentation when someone asked him, "if he was to create a monument what would he include". The answer was that he would 'write a book'. It seems, in my opinion, he is not enamoured with monuments and sees little inherent value in them. I wonder what other people will think when they watch this. Could be a good one for a Monday night, JB.At 6:00pm eastern on C Span 3: Overview of Civil War Monuments...45 minutes long.

There is very little programming worthwhile on my cable TV and I have hundreds of channels. That said, CSPAN3 History on weekends is one of those worthwhile channels.Full day of civil war programming on cspan 3: artifacts and docs.
Watch C-Span 3 though an ab.I have Direct TV with no C-Span 3. I have Roku, will I be able to get C-Span 3 through Roku?
I don't know, but cspan's website has the docs archived after they air live. YouTube has them up eventually too.I have Direct TV with no C-Span 3. I have Roku, will I be able to get C-Span 3 through Roku?
I can't help you with this one, Alan. I keep hearing that Cable TV is obsolete and about anyone under 60 gets all their multimedia from alternate sources. Unfortunately, I am not under 60!Boy would I - if only I knew what an "ab" was
Yes, I saw this program too. Jack Davis is always an interesting and engaging speaker.I watched Jack Davis talk about Lee and Grant, which was on last weekend. Highly recommend
