Buried marker of Civil War veteran and others found at Wyandotte Oakwood Cemetery during spring cleanup
Cleaning up cemetery plots prior to Memorial Day is nothing new, but every now and then something turns up that is very old.
That’s what happened recently during the annual spring cleanup of Wyandotte Oakwood Cemetery when a grave marker of a Civil War veteran was uncovered, as well as a fragment of a stone where a baby was buried in 1924.
